When will Wisconsin follow the healthcare views of the many States that have already approved the medicinal use of Marijuana? There are now 17 States and every few months another State is on board. I understand first hand how law enforcement views this controversial subject matter as I am a retired Master certified law enforcement officer out of Texas now residing back in my home city Milwaukee. I am also a member of LEAP, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition and I believe and know first hand the benefits that marijuana provides for Parkinson’s disease. I was diagnosed in 2003 with this debilitating progressive disease. Marijuana is truly a miracle plant that has been around for thousands of years and is beneficial for many illnesses and diseases. I am a graduate of Lubbock Christian University and a LCU award winner for my research and I have authored two books on this matter. Marijuana is NOT an alternative drug as this plant has been used for over 7000 years and recorded for medicinal use for over 2000 years. Read the facts and stop that groupthink of ignorance. Why else would our government place a patent the drug and then make a synthetic one? End prohibition for medicinal reasons at least.
